I’m sort of skipping over Halloween, not sure why. If you are looking for Halloween decorating ideas, please visit our Pinterest page for fun and ghoulish cupcakes. Today we are going to jump ahead to Thanksgiving. It’s only a month away! These are easy and cute cupcakes from Two Sisters Crafting. You can use your favorite flavor of cupcakes (box mix is ok, too, we won’t tell) and favorite frosting although chocolate would likely be best. And then decorate away!
Thanksgiving Carmelcopia Cupcakes
Ingredients:
- Cupcakes
- Buttercream Frosting
- Brachs Caramels or Kraft Caramels
- Harvest Blend M&M Candies
- Wilton 2D Frosting Tip
Prepare Yellow Cake cupcakes in a yellow cupcake liner for the Thanksgiving Caramelcopia Cupcakes.
Make a batch of your favorite buttercream frosting (or used canned…shhh…you didn’t hear that from us!) and then use a Wilton 2D Frosting Tip to make this swirl but you could also just apply the frosting with a knife.
Use one piece of Brach’s Caramel for make each caramelcopia. Simply mold the caramel into the shape of a cornucopia with your fingers as shown in the picture below
Then nestle the caramelcopia into the chocolate frosting, keeping it to the back of the top of the cupcake.
Finally, add five Harvest Blend M&M’s to the top of the cupcake to represent the “bounty” that traditionally spills out of a Thanksgiving cornucopia.
